A tutor provides individual academic assistance to children and teens and promotes an atmosphere where learning can be a positive experience. A tutor will provide the child with basic learning tools and skills. There may be occasions where assistance with adults is requested.
You will meet a minimum of once a month with the assigned worker. You will also receive input from the child's teacher and possibly school principal.
To spend a minimum of once a week through the school year on a one to one basis with a child experiencing difficulties with school work; to act as a sensitive, caring learning guide and encourage the chid to discover their personal strengths as a student; to make the learning experience a fun and challenging endeavour.
