Summer Buddy

A summer buddy becomes a friend and a positive role model through the summer months for a child involved with the agency. This provides the essential continuity of involvement and positive reinforcement and attention that these children need so badly.

Responsibilities

To spend time with the child at least once a week. You will take the child on recreational or social outings in the community as outlined in the agreement with the caseworker, family and volunteer.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good listening skills
• A caring and non-judgemental approach
• An ability to relate to children and families
