Request for SpeakerThe Frontenac Children's Aid Society (FCAS) believes that the protection of children and youth is everyone's responsibility.

A leader of child welfare in our community, the FCAS is comprised of Family Service workers, child and youth workers, managers, volunteers and many others with various backgrounds and specialties.

Speaker's Bureau

It is our belief that through the Speakers Bureau we can reach out to the community and promote a collaborative effort in preventing child abuse and neglect.

Although October is Child Abuse Prevention Month we endeavor to raise awareness and educate the public throughout the year regarding:

  • Our Services, Working with Families, Foster Care and Adoption
  • Transformation / Recent Changes in our Practice
  • When and how to report known and suspected cases of Child Abuse and Neglect?
  • What to do if a Child Discloses Abuse to you?
  • The Impact of Child Abuse and Neglect on Children
  • The Effects of Violence on Children
  • How You Can Help? Volunteering, The Children's Fund
  • Other

Presentations

Our presentations can be specifically designed to address certain types of organizations.

Our target audiences include but are not limited to:

  • Educators
  • Health Care Professionals
  • Community Resource Partners
  • Businesses / General Public
  • Religious Organizations and Service Clubs

Requesting A Speaker

Please allow as much lead-time as possible prior to your event for us to provide an appropriate, available speaker. Preferably 4 weeks. Speakers are provided at no charge.

When requesting a speaker please complete the online Request a Speaker form, or print and return the PDF form and return it to the Frontenac Children's Aid Society at Yvonne.Cooper@frontcas.ca, or call (613) 542-7351 ext. 3357.
