  1. During Foster Family Week, 18-24 October 2009, The Frontenac Children’s Aid Society (FCAS) recognizes families who give of their time and themselves by nurturing vulnerable children and youth as foster parents.

    “Foster families provide a precious gift to children in care. They share their love, their home and their family with our most vulnerable children,” said Linda Braithwaite, Resource Manager. “Foster Family Week is a good time to recognize those caring families who open their homes and their hearts to children who have suffered maltreatment and need a stable, loving home.”

  2. The Frontenac Children’s Aid Society (FCAS) is committed to eliminating child abuse and neglect in the lives of children, youth and their families in Kingston and Frontenac County.

    “October is Child Abuse Prevention Month and through education and prevention we can make a difference in the lives of our children and youth, said Frontenac Children’s Aid Society Executive Director, Raymond Muldoon. “As a community we are responsible for child safety. Everyone has an ongoing duty to report when they see or hear that a child is suffering from any form of abuse,” he added.

Raymond Muldoon, Executive Director and Brian Devlin, President, Board of Directors of the Frontenac Children’s Aid Society are pleased to announce that Shoalts and Zaback Architects Ltd of Kingston have been awarded the contract to design the new Frontenac Children’s Aid Society facility at 817 Division St.

  4. The capacity of the Frontenac Children’s Aid Society to provide mandated, essential child protection services within the City of Kingston and County of Frontenac is being threatened by the Ontario Government’s current funding strategy.

  5. National Volunteer Week is being celebrated from 18-24 April and the Frontenac Children’s Aid Society would like to thank its many volunteers who selflessly give of their time, energy and skills to support the children, youth and families of Kingston and Frontenac County.

  6. The Frontenac Children’s Aid Society encourages everyone to protect children at home, at school and in the community by keeping a close eye on our communities youngest and most vulnerable citizens.

  7. At the Frontenac Children's Aid Society (FCAS) 115th Annual General Meeting held Tuesday June 9, seven local youth were recognized for their outstanding efforts in overcoming adversity to achieve both personal and academic goals.

  8. At a time of widespread economic uncertainty, the progress of Ontario's children threatens to be all but overlooked. That's precisely why standing up for them has never been more important than it is right now.

  9. Foster Parents and Volunteers were the guests of honour as the Frontenac Children's Aid Society celebrated it's annual Appreciation Night on October 23, 2008 at Minos Village Restaurant.

  10. Provincial assistance is now available through the Ontario Crown Ward Postsecondary Application Fee Reimbursement Program to help current and former Ontario Crown wards cover postsecondary application fees. The program provides up to $210 to reimburse eligible postsecondary application fees incurred for full-time studies by current and former Ontario Crown wards for a first postsecondary degree, diploma, or certificate program starting in the Fall 2008 term or later.
