New Location

The needs of the community have grown and with that the Frontenac Children's Aid Society has too. The FCAS is moving to a new home in the Spring of 2011. The new facility, located at 817 Division Street, will allow us to become a hub of children's services offering an ideal solution for the families we serve. By combining all of our services in one facility, we will be able to provide an integrated service approach in the Kingston community ensuring the needs of our clients continue to be met.

The following principles provide an overview of the philosophical approach the Agency will employ in the design and construction of our new building. In effect the project team and the building will:

• Be designed to allow for further growth and/or future renovations,
• Be family friendly and welcoming in its design,
• Be designed and constructed using environmentally sound practices to minimize the impact on the environment,
• Allow an opportunity for an integrated community service approach which wherever possible will welcome the provision of leased administration and service space to the appropriate community agencies and services,
• Be completely accessible,
• Be managed to ensure both a cost effective and efficient use of resources,
• Engage key Society stakeholders, including the Board of Governors, staff, foster parents and other consumers.
